Police in Rupandehi district on Tuesday arrested a man on the charge of raping a four-year-old child in Kanchan Rural Municipality, Rupandehi district.
The arrested has been identified as Hemlal Gandharva (53) of Buddhanagar in Kanchan-4.
Acting on a tip-off, security personnel deployed from the Rudrapur-based Area Police Office arrested Gandharva who allegedly raped the minor in his own residence.
Further investigation into the case is underway, informed the police.
