The landslides caused by the heavy rainfall since the last few days has badly affected Manang. Though there has been no report of any human loss so far the landslides have caused a lot of physical damage. Scores of people have also been displaced due to the landslides.
At present people are being rescued from dangerous areas with the help of helicopters of Nepal Army and Altitude Air. The people who have been displaced are being taken to safer locations.
Due to the bad weather in Manang relief and rescue efforts are also being hindered. The road that connects Manang from Lamjung has been damaged which is causing problems in transporting food items and other essentials. Chame Rural Municipality along with Nasaun and Narpa Rural Municipalities in Manang have been severely affected.
