One arrested for selling medicines without prescription in Dhangadhi

Police arrested a youth on charge of being involved in selling pharmaceutical medicines without any medical prescription in Dhagadhi Sub-Metropolitan-13.

The arrested has been identified as Somraj Joshi (21). Police also arrested Karan Chaudhary (23) who was buying the medicines. Both are local residents of the same metropolitan in the district. Chaudhary works at Santosh Medico Pvt Ltd. 

Joshi was riding on a bicycle and was carrying the illegal pharmaceutical drugs including 20 tablets of spasmo, two capsules of parlin, and 12 capsules of pregastar. Security personnel deployed from the Kailali-based District Police Office (DPO) nabbed Joshi with the substances from LN Chowk during a routine check.

As per the investigation, Joshi had been buying those pharmaceutical drugs from Santosh's pharmacy.

The police also seized 202 tablets of spasmo, 297 capsules of parlin, and 615 capsules of pregastar from Santosh's pharmacy.

The two accused and seized medicines will be handed over to Nepalgunj-based Drug Department Office, informed the DPO, Kailali.
