Two women died when the microbus they were travelling on hit a parked truck at Charaundi of Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality -7 in Dhading district on Saturday morning.
Area Police Office, Gajuri identified the deceased as Hiramaya Gurung (50) and Krishna Kumari KC (65) of Deuchuli Municipality-16 in Nawalparasi (East).
Six other passengers of the microbus (Ba 3 Kha 84) en route from Nawalparasi to Kathmandu also sustained injuries as the vehicle rammed a parked container (Na 6 Kha 460) from behind this morning, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Yubraj Khadka at Dhading District Police Office (DPO) informed.
Of the injured in the accident along the Prithvi Highway, three were rushed to Chitwan for further treatment while two are being treated at the Highway Community Hospital and one of them has already returned home after treatment.
