Two held with arms in Morang

Police in Morang district arrested two men in possession of different arms on Tuesday afternoon.

The arrested have been identified as Ganesh Kumar Limbu (51), resident of Devijhoda in Kerabari Municipality-9, and Padam Kumar Limbu (41), a resident of Lalibhiti in Belbari Municipality-2 in Morang district.

Security personnel deployed from the Belbari-based Area Police Office recovered one pistol, five bullets of 303 rifle, and one pistol bullet from the kitchen of Ganesh Kumar's house. The police also seized one khukuri and knife from Padam Kumar's car parked in the compound of Ganesh Kumar's house.

Meanwhile, Makawanpur police on Tuesday afternoon recovered one muzzleloader gun hidden in a ditch on a vacant public land from Mahabir Village in Bhimphedi Rural Municipality-8. Acting on a tip-off, security personnel deployed from the Bhimphedi-based Area Police Office found the gun hidden in the area and recovered it.

Further investigation into the matter is underway, said the police.
