Right ideology leads party ahead says NCP chair Dahal

Chairman of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Dahal-Nepal faction Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that ideology, policy and guidelines should be right for the development of pro-people political party.

Addressing the party's leading cadres in Lalitpur on Friday, the former Prime Minister said that a political party's strength, development and all other factors solely depend on the party's ideology, political policy and guidelines.

Recalling the statement of Chinese revolutionary leader Mao Zedong, Dahal said people will support if the ideology of a party is appropriate.

On the occasion, he said that some leaders were acting out of self-interest after the party unification and thus violated the agreements and understanding in the party

Dahal stated that struggle against anti-communist trends has initiated.

He was of the view that achievements obtained from the people's sacrifices were at risk due to individualism and ambition trends while adding that his party has moved towards people as chances were high for the country's journey towards a dark tunnel.

Chairman Dahal said that his party was of the official NCP and the claim was made in the Election Commission as more than 70 per cent of the party's central committee members are with the Dahal-Nepal faction of the NCP.

On the occasion, NCP's standing committee member Pampha Bhusal said that winning the trust of people was crucial and her party has gone to the people for the same.
