The ruling coalition is to meet again on February 20 to forge consensus on the issues of tabling the US Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) compact and to run the Parliament meeting without any obstacles.

A meeting of the top leaders of the ruling coalition held at the official residence of the Prime Minister at Baluwatar this morning decided to hold the meeting again at 10:00 am on Sunday after today's meeting ended inconclusively.

Spokesperson of the government and Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, said that discussion was held in a positive way in today's meeting regarding running the meeting of the House of Representatives without any obstacles and to table the MCC in the Parliament.

"Today's meeting drew a conclusion that the meeting scheduled on Sunday will forge a common concept as discussion among ruling coalition is underway", shared Minister Karki.

He added that Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba met with Chairperson of the CPN (UML), KP Sharma Oli, on Thursday to end the existing stalemate as it is the responsibility of the main opposition to run the meeting regularly.

Responding to a query, Minister Karki said that today's meeting of the Business Advisory Committee would decide on the issue of tabling the MCC in today's HoR meeting.

Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Deuba, CPN (Maoist Centre), Pushpa Kamal Thapa 'Prachanda', Chairperson of the CPN (Unified Socialist), Madhav Kumar Nepal, as well as other top leaders of the ruling coalition were present in the meeting.
