Army and Himalayan Sherpas ended in a draw

The match between Tribhuvan Army Club and Himalayan Sherpa Club ended in a draw in the Martyrs' Memorial 'A' Division Football League today.

In today's match played at ANFA (All Nepal Football Association) Complex in Satdobato, Army drew 1-1 with Himalayan Sherpa Club. In the 26th minute of the match, captain George Prince Karki scored a goal to give the Army an early lead.

He scored on a pass from Tek Bahadur Budhathoki. But that Army's 1-0 lead did not last long. Mutamba Piston of Himalayan Sherpa scored in the 65th minute to level the game 1-1. He scored on a pass from Ashish Gurung.

In the extra time of the second half of the match, Army was reduced to 10 players after goalkeeper Vikesh Kuthu received a red card. Referee Navindra Marhajan gave a red card to Vikesh after fouling Himalayan Sherpa player Suresh Kumal outside the penalty area. With this draw, Army has added 19 points in 11 games. Army ranks third in the table. Similarly, Himalayan Sherpa of the same game has 12 points. Himalayan Sherpa ranks eighth in the table.
