Former Lieutenant-General of Nepal Army, Balanand Sharma, has been appointed as the chief of the COVID-19 Crisis Management Centre (CCMC). Sharma was appointed to the post by a meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Monday evening.

Prime Minister and CPN (UML chairperson KP Sharma Oli has said democracy would be meaningful when it was connected to the lives of the people and people were assured of their prosperous life.

Ganesh Pandey, Press Advisor to Deputy Prime Minister Ishwor Pokhrel, who is also the head of the (CCMC), informed that discussions on the current situation are taking place and further decisions related to the management of the situation could be taken.
