The government has opened advance ticket booking for long and medium routes from today.

Transport businessmen have said that they will be forced to adjust the transport fare themselves.

The Department of Transport Management has urged various transport entrepreneurs' associations to open the advance ticket booking of vehicles in view of the upcoming Badashain festival.

Public transport entrepreneurs and workers have said they will start operating all types of public vehicles in Kathmandu valley against the government’s decision to allow vehicles with capacity of more than 25 seats to resume services from today.

The local administration is positive about resuming public transportation in Kathmandu Valley by maintaining safety protocol, said the FNNTE.

Nepal National Transport Entrepreneurs Federation has appealed to the government to adjust the public transportation fare.
