A team deployed from the Narcotics Control Bureau of the Nepal Police seized 4.5 kilograms of marijuana in a parcel and 2.4 kilograms in another parcel in course of investigation. The parcels were brought from the USA disguised as chocolate and toys.
Marijuana farms, manufacturers and retailers provided millions of dollars that footed a petition drive to put the proposal on the November ballot and promote it to voters.
