R&B singer R. Kelly was sentenced to 20 years in prison in a Chicago federal courtroom on Thursday.

A federal judge will sentence R. Kelly for his Chicago convictions of child pornography and enticement of minors for sex on Thursday, when the 56-year-old singer will learn if he must spend the rest of his life behind bars.

A federal jury in Chicago convicted R. Kelly on Wednesday of producing child pornography and enticing girls for sex after a monthlong trial in his hometown, delivering another legal blow to the singer who was once one of the world’s biggest R&B stars.
