Two local levels in the Jhapa district have closed community schools within due to rising temperatures. The temperature has soared in Jhapa district to as high as 40 degrees on Wednesday.
As the mountaineering community prepares to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the conquest of Mount Everest, there is growing concern about temperatures rising, glaciers and snow melting, harsh and unpredictable weather.
