Protesting the traffic police’s decision to hike the fine for traffic rules violations, the transport workers on Monday evening took to the streets, leading to clashes, vandalism, and arson in the Balaju-Naya Buspark area in Kathmandu.
Director-General of the Department of Transport Management Tulsai Gautam informed that the protesting transport workers were invited to the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport at 8.00 am today to initiate dialogue on their demands.
