Snow has fallen on Chandragiri hills due to incessant rains since last night. It has been snowing in the place since this morning. General Manager of Chandragiri Hills Limited, Abhishek Bikram Shah, said that the area including Chandragiri Resort, Bhaleshwar Temple, and Cable car station were covered with snow.
This is the second heavy snowfall in the area after last December's snowfall. When it snowed for the first time, thousands of young people went to Chandragiri to play in the snow. As the western low-pressure system is active all over the country, it is snowing in the Himalayas and high hills and it is raining in many other places.
The Tribhuvan Highway has also been blocked due to the snowfall. The road has been blocked due to heavy snowfall in Simbhanjyang under the highway due to rains since last night. Due to the snowfall, vehicles heading to Hetauda from Kathmandu were stopped on the way, according to police.
