Former minister, NC leader Joshi no more

Nepali Congress leader and former minister, Nabindra Raj Joshi

Nepali Congress leader and former minister Nabindra Raj Joshi, who had been undergoing treatment for a brain haemorrhage, has died. He was 56.

Joshi who was in serious condition had been receiving treatment at Norvic International Hospital.

Various supporters expressed their condolences through social media on the demise of the NC leader.



NC president and former prime minister Sher Bahadur Deuba wrote on Twitter, "Sad to learn about the sudden demise of Nepali Congress Leader, excellent organiser and former minister Nabindra Raj Joshi. Nepali Congress has lost its honest and faithful leader. Peace to his soul and condolence to his family."

Likewise, Former Minister for Health and Population and Nepali Congress leader Gagan Kumar Thapa took to Twitter to express his condolences on the demise of leader Joshi.

He wrote, "I'm extremely sad. It's hard to believe that he is no more. There was more to learn about the party organisation, its ideology and development. We have lost a coordinating, excellent leader and guide since the time of student life. A heartfelt tribute to Navindra Dai!
