Kathmandu Metropolis Police Range has arrested four people with a rare golden tortoise from Solatee Dobato in Kathmandu district. . The arrested has been identified as Sanjay Tamang, Prakash Khati, Raj Kumar Tamang, and Hari Pariyar. They also confiscated Rs 36,655 from the group They are from different places in the country and currently residing in Kathmandu.
Acting on a tip-off that smuggling of the golden tortoise was going on they were arrested on Saturday evening.
Following the preliminary interrogation, they have been sent to the Division Forest Office, Hattisar for further action.
