Gold necklace snatcher arrested from Chamati, KMC-16

Police arrested a man accused of snatching a gold necklace out of a pedestrian in Balaju, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-16, on Saturday morning.

The arrestee has been identified as Nabin Thapa (28) of the Jhimruk Rural Municipality in Pyuthan district, who had currently been residing in Paknajol area near Thamel.

Thapa allegedly snatched a gold necklace (0.75 tola) out of a 28-year-old woman walking on a road in Balaju.

Acting on a tip-off, security personnel deployed from the Metropolitan Police Circle, Balaju immediately took action and arrested Thapa along with the necklace from Chamati Binayak area, KMC-16, police informed. 

Further investigation into the case is underway, said the police.
