The Kathmandu Metropolitan City has made it clear that it will not be possible to set up shops on the footpaths during Dashain this year. Navin Manandhar, spokesperson of the metropolis, informed that this program will be partially postponed or not flexible due to festivals or other special reasons.
The Metropolitan Municipality has made it clear that the footpath is a prohibited area for activities other than human traffic.
