Police arrested a man on charge of raping an 8-year-old minor from Dharmapath in Kathmandu Metropolitan-23 on Saturday afternoon.
The accused has been identified as Surya Tamang (35), a local of Dhunibeshi Municipality-1 in Dhading district.
Tamang allegedly raped the minor in a car parked at the vacant space of the old municipality office in Dharmapath.
Acting on a tip-off, Janasewa-based Metropolitan Police Circle (MPC) nabbed the accused.
Further investigation into the case is underway, informed MPC, Janasewa Office.
