Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration Anita Devi has said that the Nepal Administrative Staff College (NASC) is being developed as a centre of excellence for the capacity development of government officials.

Addressing an event on the occasion of the 41st anniversary of NASC on Thursday, Minister Devi stated that the NASC is not only working to enhance the career growth of the government employees but also helping them be responsible with positive psychology in public service delivery.

She also wished the NASC for achieving success in delivering new programmes that promote capacity of the government staffers and support them in policy making.

On the occasion, she said that performance is cherished in the post to the qualified and efficient people.

Likewise, Ministry's Secretary Binod Prakash Singh stated the need for running more trainings as per the needs of the country and the government and added that the NASC should do more for running such trainings.

NASC's founding Executive Director Goraksha Bahadur Nhuchchhe, Executive Director Dr Rajan Khanal, Deputy Executive Director Bishnu Prasad Lamsal and others expressed their views about the institution, its training programmes, outreach, scope and others.

Aimed at providing training for capacity enhancement of the government employees, the institution was established in 1982.
