At a time when blood shortage has surfaced across the country during the coronavirus pandemic, Nepali Congress (BP) central committee organized a blood donation programme at Maharajgunj, Kathmandu on Wednesday.
As many as 34 people donated blood in the event organized with the slogan ‘blood donation is life donation’. Secretary of the party central office, Sushil Raj Wagle said that the blood donation was organized to prevent deaths due to shortage of blood in the pandemic.
Nepal Red Cross Society has also been calling for the general public for blood donation when there was blood shortage across the country, including Kathmandu Valley.
