A delegation from the Nuwakot district led by Nepali Congress spokesperson Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat has presented a memorandum to Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.
The delegation drew the attention of the Prime Minister to solve various problems in the Nuwakot district.
During the meeting with the Prime Minister, Dr. Mahat, on behalf of the delegation, said that the life of the people has become difficult as the road to Nuwakot has been contracted for 10 years.
He said that it was necessary for the Prime Minister to direct the concerned ministry and department to complete the construction of the road immediately.
In the memorandum, it has been requested to pay attention to the concerns of the locals while managing the dumping site of Banchare Danda in Nuwakot. The locals had requested the Prime Minister to take up the issue of garbage management with the Prime Minister.
A similar memorandum has also demanded to solve the problem of non-registration of Guthi land in various remote villages of Nuwakot.
In a meeting with the Nuwakot delegation, Prime Minister Deuba expressed his commitment to call the heads of the concerned bodies for immediate fulfillment of the demands mentioned in the memorandum and give directions for their immediate implementation.
Apart from the spokesperson Dr. Mahat, Nepali Congress central member and MP Bahadur Singh Lama, Nepali Congress district president Ramesh Mahat, Chairman of the Concern Committee Aditya Shrestha, District Land Commission Nuwakot Chairman Arjun Neupane, and other chairpersons of the Municipal Committee also spoke about the problem.
