The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Office has said that those facing problems to manage their meals during the prohibitory order can dial hotline number 1180 for assistance. Due to the second wave of the coronavirus prohibitory orders have been imposed in a majority of the districts across the country.

The KMC has said any person who is facing problems of shortage of food items can dial the abovementioned hotline number. In the first lockdown too various social organisations and the KMC in coordination with ward offices had distributed food to the needy people.

Ishwor Man Dangol, Spokesperson of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Office, informed that the KMC has been helping those people who are facing problems in coordination with the ward offices. He has urged people who are facing problems to dial hotline number 1180 and provide details of their residence.

After receiving the information, the KMC will coordinate with the nearest ward office and provide food essentials to the needy.
