PM Deuba to inspect vaccination centres on Monday

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba will be inspecting the COVID-19 vaccination centres in Kathmandu valley on Monday.

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, who is also the president of Nepali Congress, will be inspecting the COVID-19 vaccination centres in Kathmandu valley on Monday.

The government will be administering the Janssen vaccine which was gifted by the United States government through the COVAX facility of the United Nations from Monday. The Janssen vaccine is a single-dose vaccine manufactured by American pharmaceuticals giant Johnson & Johnson.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, PM Deuba will be inspecting the vaccination centrea that have been set up at Nepal Orthopaedic Hospital in Jorpati; Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj; Bir Hospital in Ratna Park; and Patan Academy of Health Sciences in Lagankhel.

Earlier today, Prime Minister Deuba summoned the secretary of the Health Ministry and other concerned officials to Singhadurbar and directed them to be more active in the procurement of COVID-19 vaccines.
