Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, arrived in China on Saturday for a weeklong formal visit. The PM arrived at Hangzhou city of China.
The PM landed at Hangzhou Airport at 10:30 am local time on Saturday.
Chinese Minister for General Administration of Sports and Chinese Olympic Committee President, Gao Zhidan, welcomed Prime Minister Dahal at Hangzhou International Airport. Nepali Ambassador to China, Bishnu Pukar Shrestha, and Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Chen Song, were also present on the occasion.
Prime Minister Dahal arrived in China from New York after addressing the 78th UNGA. He had addressed the UNGA on September 22.
Foreign Minister NP Saud and other members of the delegation have accompanied PM Dahal.
Likewise, the PM attended the inaugural session of the 19th Asian Games in the same city.
At the event, Chinese sports officials welcomed the PM.
Similarly, PM Dahal held meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Hangzhou city. A high-level meeting would be held between them, according to the Foreign Ministry. During the meeting, different issues of Nepal-China relations and mutual interests were discussed, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
Likewise, the PM attended a luncheon hosted by Chinese President Xi Jinping in Hangzhou city on Saturday itself. Other members of the delegation were also present at the reception.
On Sunday, the PM is scheduled to reach in Beijing at 11:10 am local time.
The PM is scheduled to address the Nepal-China Business Summit to be held in Beijing on Sunday. The summit to be held at the coordination of Embassy of Nepal in Beijing is being organized by Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) and CCPIT, the organization of Chinese industrialists.
Meanwhile, Nepali industrialists and entrepreneurs under leadership of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry have arrived here to attend the business summit which will see participation of more than 100 business peoples from both countries.
The summit is expected to discuss the investment avenues in Nepal and explore the investment areas between Nepal and China.
On Monday, the PM is scheduled to meet Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Zhao Leji.
He is scheduled to hold bilateral meeting with his Chinese counterpart, Li Quang, on September 25. On the same day, different MoUs and agreements between Nepal and China would be signed.
Likewise, the visiting PM will visit Chongqing Municipality to observe the agricultural and industrial advancement of China. He will hold a study visit of Chongqing Municipality as the Municipality has achieved high success in agriculture and technology sector in a short period.
PM Dahal is scheduled to visit Lhasa, Tibet Autonomous Region of China that borders Nepal and he is to hold meeting with high-officials there in Tibet. The Nepali-delegation led by PM Dahal will return home on September 30.
