A delegation led by Japanese MP and Chairman of the House of Representatives Judiciary Affairs Committee, Takewe Arata, had a courtesy meeting with President Ramchandra Paudel.

Expressing his gratitude for Japan's unconditional and selfless support in Nepal, he said that Nepal's relationship with Japan is also culturally linked through  Gautam Buddha and that the relationship between Nepal and Japan is also strong at the people's level.

He expressed his gratitude for Japan's support especially in the fields of infrastructure, agriculture, and health, noting that the relationship between the two countries is close because they have one voice in international forums even on political issues such as democracy, human rights, and the rule of law.

According to the personal secretariat of the President, he also expressed satisfaction that Nepali students are going to Japan to learn technology. Since Japanese companies want to invest in Nepal, the Japanese delegation drew Nepal's attention to create a comfortable environment for those companies to invest and maintain good governance.

They said that they were happy when they met many Nepalis who were going to study in Japan and told them that they wanted to learn technology in Japan and return to Nepal to make use of it. Similarly, they suggested decentralizing the current situation of Kathmandu as the capital for economic activities, to go from the village to Japan, and creating an environment where they can learn technology and work there.
