Gathering in public places in the valley has been banned. A joint meeting of the Chief District Officers (CDOs) of the three districts of the Kathmandu Valley on Tuesday decided not to allow more than 25 people to gather in public places.
According to Kathmandu Assistant Chief District Officer Umakanta Adhikari, the decision will be implemented from 12 midnight. The meeting has requested not to hold fairs, festivals, and political programs.
COVID-19 cases have been surging and infection rates have increased by over three times as compared to the previous week.
