The pavement traders have started protesting with various demands. They started protesting after the Kathmandu Metropolitan City stopped doing business on the footpath.
Under the banner of the Independent Nationalist Swarojgar Shramik Sangharsh Samiti, the footpath traders protested in front of the city office.
There are demands that the state should record and provide identity cards to the self-employed workers on the roadside, and proper management should be made for the road self-employed workers.
