S. Korean parliamentary delegation met with Speaker

The South Korean parliamentary delegation, which is visiting Nepal, had a courtesy meeting with Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota.

The delegation paid a courtesy visit to Speaker Sapkota at his office in Singha Durbar. In the meeting, the relations and mutual interests between Nepal and South Korea were discussed.

On that occasion, Speaker Sapkota said that South Korea has succeeded in proving itself in the field of waste management and said that he expects assistance in the waste management of the capital Kathmandu. He said, 'South Korea has proved to be excellent in waste management, there is also cooperation in other cities, we are expecting Korean support in Kathmandu's waste management.'

In the meeting, on behalf of South Korea's parliamentary delegation, President of Korea Nepal Parliamentary Friendship Group Lee Sang Heon said that they are members of parliament who love Nepal in South Korea's parliament. He said that because Nepali workers working in Korea are hardworking, employers like Nepali workers. The members of the delegation informed that they will discuss with the Minister of Labor after returning home about increasing opportunities for Nepali workers in Korea.


The delegation including parliamentarians who are responsible for the environmental sector said that Korea is helping in waste management in various cities of Nepal and informed that after returning home, they will conduct a deep study on the waste management of Kathmandu.

In the delegation, the president of the friendship group Lee Sang Heon, parliamentarians Byong Gil An, Hak Yong Lee, Byong Joo Kim, as well as South Korean Ambassador to Nepal Park Chong Suk participated in the delegation.
