Students aged 12-17 to get second dose from Monday in KMC

The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has stated that it will conduct a vaccination campaign for second dose of Pfizer vaccine against coronavirus from February 7 to 17. As per the decision of the District Vaccination Coordinating Committee, Kathmandu, on January 6, KMC has made the information public to provide the second dose of Pfizer. According to the information issued by the CPN (Maoist) Health Department Chief Balram Tripathi, the vaccination program will be conducted on all the days except Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm.

According to the decision of the Vaccination Coordinating Committee of all 32 wards of the CPN (Maoist), vaccination centers should be set up in schools. According to the information, children in the target group of 12 to 17 years of age who have completed 21 days of first vaccination will have to go to the nearest vaccination center with the first vaccination card.

KMC has also urged to fully comply with the health standards while conducting the vaccination program. As Coronavirus' third wave continues, the government is effectively advancing the vaccination program. The third wave of the pandemic, which reached its peak in late January, is now gradually receding.
