CPN UML's Mahesh Basnet says will not follow SC decision to appoint new prime minister

CPN UML leader Mahesh Basnet has stated that the decision made by the Supreme Court regarding the appointment of a new prime minister will not be followed.

This statement from Basnet came right after the announcement of the Supreme Court to appoint Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba as the new prime minister.

He added, "It is the president who chooses the prime minister and not the court and his party will not accept the decision."

Protests have been already started in the capital after the decision of the court to appoint Deuba as prime minister.
