The Bagmati Civilization Integrated Development Committee has issued a public notice to remove the unauthorized temporary and permanent structures from Guheshwari to Thapathali Bridge.

A statement issued by the committee's deputy chief Amit Ranjit states that the temporary structures along the river bank will be removed within three days and the permanent structures within seven days. The committee has stated that it was compelled to publish the re-notification as it had ignored the public notice issued several times before to remove such structures.

If the unauthorized structure is not removed within the stipulated time, the committee itself will dismantle it and the expenses incurred will be borne by the person and party constructing the structure like the rest of the government. The committee had earlier removed about four dozen permanent and temporary structures along the river from Gokarna to Guheshwari.
