United Students' Organization (USO) are protesting in front of Nepal Oil Corporation's central office in Teku demanding the government to withdraw the hiking petroleum products price.
It began at 10 am and had pressured the government to withdraw raising the price of petroleum products. They also chanted slogans demanding NOC Executive Director, Surendra Paudel's resignation saying that the hike of the recent oil and LPG gas prices has made it difficult for general citizens and students to afford it.
Leaders of student organizations affiliated with the ruling CPN (Maoist Center) including ANNFSU (Revolutionary) and student organizations affiliated to the CPN (Unified Socialist) protested in the NOC office.
ANNFSU, a student organization affiliated with the main opposition party CPN UML, has also been protesting against the government after the last price hike of petroleum products.
