NMA bids farewell to Everest hopefuls

Nepal Mountaineering Association today bid farewell to 5 different climbers. The president of the association Shantavir Lama handed over the flag of the association and bade farewell to the climbers. Four of the climbers are climbing Mt. Everest and Sharmila Lama Kanchenjunga. Tenzing Jangbo Sherpa, a climber who goes to climb Mt. Everest, is the grandson of the late Aung Rita Sherpa. He aims to establish a museum by establishing a foundation in his grandfather's name and to help educate the sons and daughters of the climbers who died in the mountains. Similarly, Amit KC is aiming to reach the summit of Everest as the first Nepali blind person. KC, who has climbed other mountains as well, had failed to reach the summit in 2017 due to bad weather.

Narbin Rana Magar, who has climbed the highest mountains of four continents, is on a mission to take the eggs of 211 FIFA member nations and the World Cup trophy to Everest. He has climbed the mountain more than 21 times and will be released from Dasharath Stadium on April 25.

Similarly, Sagar Sunar is climbing Mt. Everest in Vishwakarma, representing Dwarf people of Nepal. Sharmila Lama, who is aiming to climb all the 14 mountains above 8,000 meters, will leave for Kanchenjunga this time. Sharmila, who had previously experienced other mountaineering, had climbed Annapurna last year.
