On the occasion of Swasthani brata ( fasting), a religious fair is going on at Sankhu in Kathmandu. This fair, which will last for 1 month, will end next Saturday on the occasion of the full moon. Thousands of devotees go to the Sali nadi (River) in Shankhu every day for bathing and worship. Many women and men are fasting and worshiping at the same temple site.
