A delegation from the Embassy of Nepal in Riyadh led by Nava Raj Subedi, Ambassador of Nepal to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia had a workshop meeting at the Ministry of Human Resources and Embassy of Nepal Social Development with a delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia led by Dr. Adnan Al-Nuaim, Deputy Minister for International Affairs, Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development. The meeting was organized to inform Nepali side on the recent measures/provisions such as professional accreditation program, wage protection system, anti-trafficking in persons support and protection, e-contract authorization, labour culture initiatives etc. adopted by the Saudi Government for the general welfare of the expatriate workers working in KSA.
Both the delegation had interaction on the above issues presented by Saudi side and Nepali side appreciated the Saudi endeavor and requested the Saudi Government to expedite the exit visa issuance, dead body repatriation and establishment of help desk. Both the sides agreed to further discuss on the proposed bilateral labour agreement.
