India reports 11,850 new COVID cases on Saturday

India's COVID-19 tally rose to 34,426,036 on Saturday, as 11,850 new cases were registered during the past 24 hours across the country, showed the federal health ministry's latest data.

Besides, 555 deaths due to the pandemic since Friday morning took the total death toll to 463,245.

There are still 136,308 active COVID-19 cases in the country, with a fall of 1,108 active cases during the past 24 hours. "India's active caseload is lowest in 274 days," said the federal health ministry.

A total of 33,826,483 people have been cured and discharged from hospitals so far, out of which 12,403 were discharged during the past 24 hours.
