India's COVID-19 tally rose to 34,143,236 on Friday, as 15,786 new cases were registered during the past 24 hours across the country, showed the federal health ministry's latest data.
Besides, 231 more deaths were recorded since Thursday morning, taking the death toll to 453,042.
Currently, there are still 175,745 active cases in the country, with a decrease of 3,086 during the period.
A total of 33,514,449 people have recovered and been discharged from hospitals so far, with 18,641 new recoveries.
