Foreign Minister Dr Arju Rana Deuba has informed that all Nepali students in Bangladesh are safe. She informed about it this morning through social media.
She said, "The Nepali Embassy in Dhaka is in regular contact with the local authorities, college administration and Nepali students regarding their safe accommodation, security and other necessary assistance. All Nepali students and other Nepalis in Bangladesh are safe.”
She said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has made proper arrangements for them to stay there safely and return to Nepal if necessary.Minister Dr. Rana said that an official has been appointed for the necessary coordination by establishing a "help desk" in the ministry and the Nepali Embassy in Dhaka has also been instructed to coordinate the necessary for the safety of the students there and facilitate their journey for those who want to return to Nepal.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has informed that 1,200 students have returned home from Bangladesh till Sunday. In Bangladesh, students are protesting against the employment quota system set by the government.
