The Nepal Korea Friendship Municipality Hospital, run by Madhyapurthimi Municipality, is providing free heart disease test and echo (video X-ray of heart). A 20 per cent discount has also been provided for other services.
Madan Sundar Shrestha, mayor of Madhyapurthimi Municipality informed that more than 80 patients come daily for the free heart service which will be operated free of cost till August 25. He said that the locals have taken the free heart camp as an opportunity for heart patients.
"A cardiologist from the United States is also helping out for the free tests. Cardiologists Dr Sampurnaman Tuladhar and Dr Sanjay Shrestha, who are also working at the same hospital, are also providing services, "said Mayor Shrestha.
Accessible and comfortable health services have been started not only for the residents of Madhyapurthimi but also for the patients across the country. The hospital has also brought in dialysis machine for kidney patients and is preparing to provide services from four more dialysis machines in a few days with the help of Rotary Club.
