KOICA provides equipment to Methinkot hospital

KOICA provided medical equipment to Methinkot hospital this Thursday, April 15.

The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the KOICA Alumni Association handed 29 units of medical equipment to the Methinkot hospital, based at Bhakundebesi, Namobuddha Municipality-4.

KOICA country director Sung Hun-ko and KOICA Alumni president Binod Bidari jointly handed the aid to the Chairpersons of Namobuddha municipality-4 and Methinkot hospital.

The equipment include two patient monitors, two oxygen concentrators, one cardiography CTG machine, one BIP-AP machine, five pulse oximeters, six digital BP machines, three emergency beds, five oxygen regulators, one emergency medical cart, and three emergency bed mattresses, among others.

At the program, the mayor of Namobuddha Municipality, Tanka Prasad Sharma thanked KOICA and KOICA Alumni Association for providing the assistance. He said the hospital, although a provincial one, was facing a shortage of the required infrastructure, human resources, and medical equipment.

Ambassador of South Korea for Nepal, Park Chong-suk lauded the hospital for providing effective services in the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic and expressed commitment for further support to the hospital.
