PM Dahal Vows to Address Health Sector Issues

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has expressed determination to resolve problems seen in health sector soon.

At a programme organised by Ministry of Health and Population on the occasion of World Mental Health Day and White Coat Day, Prime Minister Dahal stressed that solutions of the problems seen in the health sector would be find out immediately with the collaboration of the respective ministries.

"I have taken determination to resolve the problems of health sectors. Activities will be carried out collaborating with Health Ministry and Ministry for Education, Science and Technology for the same", he mentioned.

Wishing a good health and long-life of all the citizens on the occasion of World Mental Health Day, PM Dahal mentioned that efforts are underway to expand mental health service.

"I have been constantly encouraging the health minister to forward new plans and programmes regarding the matter of development of health sector and providing health facilities to the people", he stressed.

Similarly, Minister for Health and Population, Mohan Bahadur Basnet, shared that the government has been taking initiatives to take quality treatment to the access of all by facing increasing challenge of mental illness.

He expressed commitment to create quotas of employees working in health sector, managing health equipment and improving service at government hospitals within next six months.

 On the occasion, various doctors, health workers, provincial hospitals, local levels, NGOs were honoured for their significant contribution in improvement of overall health sector including mental health.
