10 persons found dead in various districts

Two of them killed in hut hit by tipper truck in Kathmandu

As many as 10 persons were found dead in various districts in the country, on Saturday, according to police.

Of them, two persons died in a road accident at Mulpani of Kageshwori Manohara Municipality-5 in Kathmandu district on Saturday.

A tipper (Ba 5 Kha 2511) fell about 50 metres below the road, killing two people living in a hut. They were crushed to death as the tipper plunged onto the hut, according to Police Headquarters.

The deceased have been identified as Saila Tamang (53) and his wife Jayanti (55) of Shivapuri Rural Municipality-3 in Nuwakot district. Police have detained the tipper driver.

Likewise, police said eight other people were found dead in different districts on Saturday.

As shared by Nepal Police, 65-year-old Dhan Singh Rajbansi of Bhadrapur Municipality-9 in Jhapa drowned in a pond.

Similarly, Kishori Sah Kanu (50) of Chhipaharmai Rural Municipality-3 in Parsa was found dead at his residence. Dinesh Acharya (31) of Chulachuli-2 in Ilam was found dead on a farm near his home.

Likewise, Chandra Bahadur Khatri (88) of Malarani-4 in Arghakhanchi district was found dead in a community forest.

According to police, Milan Rai (50) of Miklajung in Panchathar district was found dead at his home while a man in Tehrathum district was also found dead on a farm. His identity is yet to be ascertained, police informed.

Moreover, police shared that a man in Ratnanagar-7 and a woman in Bharatpur, and another one in Jaleshwor-9 in Mahottari were found dead, on Saturday. Their identities were not confirmed.
