A 16-month-old boy has been stabbed to death at Waling-10 Bhakunde in Syangja this afternoon. Jitendra Gurung, 33, of Bhakunde in Waling-10, Paiyun Rural Municipality-5 of Parbat has stabbed Simon Gurung, 16-month-old son of Ranmaya Gurung in the same house in Waling-12, Sirsekot. The child was stabbed in the neck, police spokesperson Rajendra Prasad Adhikari informed.
Simon, who was critically injured in the knife attack, was pronounced dead at the Garhwa Primary Health Center. The deceased's sister Saina Gurung, 5, has sustained injuries to the front of her neck and the big toe of her left hand. Her health condition is moderate. Ward Police Office Waling has arrested Jitendra for stabbing the two children.
