Two persons have been killed in a bus accident in Phidim Municipality. A child and a woman died while being taken for treatment. However, their identities have not been released, police said.
The accident took place at 11 am on Monday at Sagarkhande of the Mid-Hills Highway at Fidim-4 while the bus was traveling from Nibukhola to Jhapa. The 44-seater bus was carrying 65 passengers, said Dambar Bishwakarma, information officer at the District Police Office, Panchthar. He added that the condition of more than 15 of the injured was critical. The injured have been shifted to Jhapa and Biratnagar.
