Nepalese living in captivity in Qatar have been pardoned. The Emir of Qatar, Moussaf Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, has pardoned them on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan. The Nepalese Embassy in Doha, the capital of Qatar, will bring back 21 Nepalese who had been imprisoned in Qatar for various crimes.
Among those who were pardoned, 3 were arrested for sexual activities, 11 for theft, 2 for selling and distributing alcohol, and 5 for financial misconduct.
