As many as 15 persons were arrested on the charge of gambling in Suryabinayak Municipality-6, Bhaktapur district, on Monday evening.
The arrestees include Suman Tamang of Sundarbasti and 14 others who were gambling at former's residents. Police seized Rs 189,950 along with 6 decks of playing cards.
Similarly, police deployed from Metropolitan Police Range arrested nine people allegedly involved in gambling at BM restaurant in Bhaktapur Municipality. The arrestees include restaurant owner Bardi Koju(41). Acting on the tip-off, police nabbed the group and seized Rs 44,420 and playing cards.
Meanwhile, the investigation into the case is underway, said police.
