The SET Council has been conducting a cycle rally annually for seven consecutive years and it is proudly announcing its 8 th anniversary. This event is not just any other cycle rally but a fundraiser and awareness campaign against cancer. Bearing the theme “Ride against cancer”, it aims to use the generated profit to help in the screening of cancer patients.

The SET Council in collaboration with Richa Bajimaya Memorial Foundation, a non-profit organization, is using this platform as an inspiration to everyone, to participate and ride with them for a cause. Cancer is a deadly disease, but it can be cured if diagnosed and treated in its early stages. This is why we have continued this initiative to help in the screening of as many cancer patients we can and save countless lives. The benefits of cycling are almost endless. Cycling combines physical exercise with being outdoors and exploring new views. Along with various advantages to our health, it also helps keep the environment clean; eliminating the need for fossil fuels and the smoke that comes with burning them. Cycling also helps reduce our carbon footprint and lays the foundation for a clean and green city.

Hence, we would like to encourage cycling as an integral part of our event. The cycle rally maps a 27 km long route, starting from Maitighar, going as far as Lubhu and back to Maitighar. Water stalls will be placed at various checkpoints to keep you hydrated. There will also be medals, certificates, merch and refreshments for the participants. This event won’t just burn your fat and tone your muscles but also make you part of an event aimed at saving lives. So, we cordially invite everyone to ride with us this Saturday, March 6. Let us enjoy the ride of our lives and help save lives in the process.
