The Nepal Police has arrested three people on charge of trafficking nine Nepali women to India.
Police on Monday made public three alleged traffickers who lured those women working in the entertainment sector and falsely promised lucrative jobs in New Delhi, India.
The team of Nepal Police's Anti-Trafficking Bureau made public Samjhana Tamang (alias Senji), 20, of Bhimphedi Rural Municipality-9 in Makawanpur district, Bhuwan Tamang, 25, and Susma Magrati, 20, of Dhunibeshi Municipality-2 in Dhading district.
Superintendent of Police Krishna Prasad Pangeni, also the Spokesperson of the Bureau, shared that they acted on a tip-off and rescued the trafficked women with support from the Embassy of Nepal in India and Indian police.
Further investigation into the case was underway taking the alleged ones into custody.
The alleged ones have been remanded in custody for seven days after the permission of the District Court.
